Join us in blessing children around the world through Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. Beginning October 4, pick up a shoebox in the church foyer, fill it with gifts, and return the completed box to Cornerstone Bible Church by November 15.
Operation Christmas Child uses gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way and provide opportunities for local churches around the world to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children and their families. Since 1993, more than 244 million shoebox gifts have been delivered to children in more than 175 countries and territories.
When packing your box, choose gifts for a boy or girl in one of three age groups: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Fill the box with a special “wow” item along with toys, school supplies, and personal care items. You can also include a personal note or photo, and most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. Samaritan’s Purse suggests a $10 donation per shoebox to help cover collection, processing, shipping, and ministry costs.
After shoeboxes are distributed, many children are invited to participate in The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson discipleship program that helps them learn more about Jesus, grow in their faith, and share what they learn with others.
